Vintage Lady

Did you know that the mini skirt didn't get its name for the obvious "mini" size of it, but rather after Mary Quant's favorite car, the Mini?? Mary Quant was a popular 60's designer who instigated much of the Mod fashion movement with her hot pants, patterned tights, and of course the mini skirt. Her personal style with her blunt black bob (concocted by Vidal Sassoon himself) is just as memorable and iconic as the models such as Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton who were the faces promoting her designs.
