Rant of the Day

Normally I would never bash another retailer, but I'm pretty annoyed about this, and knowing a lot of girls probably order from here, I would like to share my experience. I tend to find most of my clothes through thrifting, and from local vintage retailers. Occasionally I will take advantage of an Urban Outfitters "half off sale" sale, or splurge on something from Unif, but this time I decided to try out Romwe's too good to be true website. They have hundreds and hundreds of the trendiest (and sometimes blatantly ripped off) items all for a insanely low price on top of "free worldwide shipping". I found a sweater and dress I wanted and then faced with a "free EXPRESS shipping" with a purchase of a certain amount, I couldn't pass it up. So I added a couple more items to make the difference for the express shipment. Knowing that holiday season is a busy time for everyone, I assumed I might wait a couple days to receive some type of shipping notification. I waited about a week and a couple days and it still hadn't updated. So I wrote them an email just asking if the order had shipped, to which I got a reply asking me to wait a few more days since they were very busy. So I waited a few more days and still no sign of anything. At this point, I'm like what the fuck does express shipping even matter now if it isn't shipped out in a timely manner. What that means is they don't actually HAVE the items in stock and they're pretty much just holding onto my money until they can either ship at least one or more of them to me...or hope I forget and never say anything about it I guess. (note** I worked at another business that pulled this same type of thing and it always bothered me, knowing the customer is innocently waiting and assuming they are about to get the product they PAID money for). So THEN I checked some reviews of Romwe and there were tons of 1 star write ups stating the same situation I was in. I emailed them again saying to please cancel the order if it hadn't shipped. 2-3 more days go by until I get a response "your order has been cancelled...we will refund you in 5 days. If you paid by credit card it will take 15-20 business days to process". WHAT THE FUCK?!? 5 days plus another 15-20 days to get my money back. Is this even real? I'm sure many people have had good experiences with them, otherwise I don't think they'd be in business this long, but retailers that sell items that they don't actually have and may NEVER have should not be allowed to work this way. It's literally blatant disrepect towards the customer. As someone who sells clothing online, my main goal is to get my shipments out ASAP. If something takes me a little longer to get together, I make sure to email them and let them know what's going on. Even then, I feel a stressed out and nervous feeling until they actually get the package. I don't know how someone selling thousands of items and probably receiving thousands of the same email that I had to send, can sleep at night. God.
And I'm really actually mad that I didn't get this sweater. Like does this sweater even exist? Anywhere? Hah!
